Sports Software Networking Requirements
OPERATING SYSTEM
o Networks consisting of computers can run on XP or Vista 32 bit..
o Networks of 3 to 5 users must run on XP or Vista and can use Windows
XP Home.
o Networking more than 5 machines must use Windows XP Pro
Note:
Pro. XP Pro is limited to networking 10 computers while XP Home is limited
to 5 computers.
o On networks consisting of 5 to 10 stations must use Windows XP Pro.
Windows Server 2003 is recommended for networks consisting of 10 stations
or more.
PROCESSOR
o Desktop Pentium 4 Processors must be rated 3.0 GHz or better. Core II
Processors must be rated 2.66 GHz or better.
o Laptop Mobile Processors must be rated 1.8 GHz or better.
RAM
o 2 Gig of RAM is recommended for editing stations.
o 1Gig of RAM is suitable for viewing stations.
FIREWIRE
and or USB
o Firewire and or USB is needed for machines that will capture VHS/DVD's.
o Non PCI Motherboard Firewire connections for laptops are acceptable.
HARD
DRIVE SPACE
o 120 Gig Minimum. Will store approximately 180-200 games. Speed or hard
drives should be rated at 7200 rpm or better.
